The Servants of the King Pronounced “ees-ee-un,” the tern has two definitions. First definition: Isian is the title given to the people who returned with the King to rule Terra during The Coming. Fabler lore claims Isians were normal Terrans who were given special abilities by the King upon his return. Like him, they did not suffer from illness, pain, or death during the Great Generation of his reign. For more than fourteen hundred years, no one was sure why these Terrans were called Isians, since the proper name of the King was not rediscovered until the later half of the Fifteenth Century ATH. They are also sometimes referred to as Isian Masters, since they took part in administering Terran affairs during the King’s reign. Second definition: A secret movement of Royalism that is separate and distinct from it. Isians were virtually unknown to the general population, and to most Royalists, until after the destruction of City of Heaven. Isians believe modern Royalism is corrupted because it does not rely upon the whole record of the King found in The Books, along with the Great Generation, and therefore cannot reflect the true nature of the King or His philosophy of rule. Isians claim The Books record Isian history and Terran events from periods dating to more than four thousand years prior to The Great Generation. Since being revealed openly, Isian enclaves have sprung up in almost every city on Terra. Parliament and the Synod of Nations have tried to eradicate the Isian movement since its discovery, but with little success. Prior to being openly revealed, the Synod of Nations, having a general knowledge of the Isian movement, infiltrated its leadership and engaged in activities to marginalize it from within, though without success. |
