The Great King

Royalism's Central Figure

Very little specific information was widely available about the King until the latter half of the Fifteenth Century ATH. The Great Generation recorded that the King was a man of extraordinary abilities and lifespan from a realm (or planet) called Ooranos.

In fabler stories from The Great Generation, the King was pitted against Aru’Vahl. According to the account, Aru’Vahl exercised great power over much of Terra for nearly seven years. His reign was harsh and extraordinarily oppressive. During his rule, more than two-thirds of the Terran population was destroyed through various political atrocities, wars, and natural and extra-Terran disasters.

The Great Generation portrays the King coming to Terra to dethrone Aru’Vahl, restore Terra to a near pristine condition, and establish his ruling authority. Though most Terrans believe the story is allegorical or a myth, Royalist fablers hold that Aru’Vahl’s power was not completely eradicated and a figure, or figures like him will someday return to bring havoc to the planet. Isian fablers teach that Aru’Vahl’s associate, Ophis, was released from Kayhu-Shakhath after The Hiding and currently influences Terran social development. Royalists and Isians agree that the King will make a final appearance at some future unknown date, destroy Ophis permanently, and remain with all Terrans for all time.
